If you focus on what you want, and prioritize all the competing "wants" so you decide which item is most important, and go after it at the expense of the lesser "wants" you will see amazing things happen. The release happens so seamlessly too - as if it were the gravitational pull and the apple doesn't even know it's not supposed to fall to earth - it just does. When we walk in our destiny and help lead others toward theirs, the circle of life loops on indefinitely - no energy wasted on the foolishness of having our own way.
